Go Red Day for Women
Herschman Architects was actively involved in the Go Red For Women’s, “Wear Red Day” held on Friday, February 1, 2008. Employees participated by wearing something red in support of the cause, and Herschman Architects made a charitable donation to the American Heart Association.
The American Heart Association (AHA) recognizes February as national heart disease month. In cooperation with the organization Go Red For Women, the AHA focus on educating women in the United States on the serious issues of cardiovascular disease, the number one killer of women. The Go Red women’s movement raises funds for vital research through a charitable event called Wear Red Day. Across the U.S. women are encouraged to wear red clothing and make the decision to take charge of their health, lower their risk factors for heart disease and to share this information with loved ones.
