John Hay School of Architecture & Design
Staff members built paper models of famous buildings from around the world to help educate high school design students on the art of model building.
The John Hay School of Architecture and Design sought to investigate model building as a way to marry the study of history and architecture. Our firm members volunteered to assemble models from kits provided by the Cleveland Museum of Art. Along with the models, each model builder produced a written anecdote about their building to be used in a presentation to the students. The students will then produce their own models from kits obtained through an on-line resource. With the models constructed by Herschman Architects, the students will have great examples for inspiration. [ BACK ]
